You write "buggy patch". Yet all I see are mod related issues. Nothing new there.
One needs to accept that using mods is a risk for issues.
Initial load in when first running the game, loading an existing save... starting a new one...
Yet I am one of those ones who uses mods, literally the night before this last hotfix, everything was working fine, including the increased load times now... as a result of hotfix #27.
Just saying.
There's been some oversight probably by Larian, happens. Or script extender needs to be updated again... could be both.
It's not something that's intolerable but, me and others well we preferred the load times how it was of course haha.
Nothing else seems to be wrong though, not on my end or the others I've been talking to in a different thread but not surprised if there are more things.
The crashing is one of the most common things I am seeing being mentioned all over on here though by, a lot.
That is normal with how the LevelCache is changed. You can bypass the issue depending on your settings. In doubt, clear you cache manually

I read about some mods causing issues which would explain the long loading times.
But then again, those are mods issues and no game issues.
I wish it did. FIRST thing I did all on my own when I noticed.
Now that you know, it is easy to test. Just load your backup and see if the issue persists.
Which, I did this, last night so I don't see why doing it right now, would result in, anything else frankly.
All my point is, if it was going to solve the issue, it would have, when I did this, yesterday.
Mhm. It is useless, especially if you do not agree to its terms and conditions.
No need to begin with, considering you can download the mods without the necessity of having an account.
I do not have the long loading times ether. It loads just as fast as it did on launch day last year for me. Just saying.
But I am one of those who do not use any cloud save features, have a very low number of background programs running and on a 1TB NVME SSD, with over 500Gb storage space free.
Not saying that is why, but it might be a factor. Windows needs a min of 10% free space to function properly and I prefer making sure it will always have 20% min free. And background programs running can cause performance issues and even conflicts at times.
No for me what you said mirrors how I do things on mine, why I'm more confused than frustrated haha.
Like I said, it shouldn't be this way but I CAN deal with it, if I could make it, not do this, sure I'd love that. So far, I haven't made any progress on that.
Why I said about SE needing to be updated, which it was last updated on the 9th of September so, it COULD be related.
