Mods and Multiplayer

Hello
Now that the game has official ingame mod support (and not having to use an outside mod manager), I have a question regarding them being used in multiplayer, are the mods client side or server side? Let's say I download the party limit remover mod from the ingame mod menu, does anyone joining my session also have to download said mod before joining or is it already applied and no downloading is needed?

Baldur's Gate 3 demands client-host parity. Which means all players in party need to have the same mods, otherwise the connection will be declined with an error.
