Save the Gondians in the Steel Watch Foundry
Do you have to save the Gondians in the Steel Watch Foundry to count towards the Save the Gondians quest? The Iron Throne encounter was relatively easy and a nice change of pace but saving all the suicidal Gondians in the Steel Watch is next to impossible with their stupid and suicidal AI. Combined with the enemies always targeting them every round.

If they die then the quest auto-completes.

Personally I managed to save them all by;
  • First saving the two gondians each surrounded by 4 Banites
  • Disarming the Steel Watchers as soon as possible (very helpful as they just punch then)
  • Then saving the three gondians at the stairs (they'll normally just misty step away)
  • At this point only the Steel Watch remains
  • If any gondians are within the blast radius I just throw the biggest healing potion at them to tank the blast (you can also push or throw them away)
Haste spell massively helps (available via various bows), as do Haste potions. Drink the potion only after the control devices are active.

I don't think you have to save *all* the Gondians.

Pretty sure at least one or two died in the factory in my playthrough and I still saved the Gondians, so you should be good.

You just need to save some, although saving all is possible
But difficult, no question.

Yup, I barely managed to save one single gondian and that was enough.
