Personally I managed to save them all by;
- First saving the two gondians each surrounded by 4 Banites
- Disarming the Steel Watchers as soon as possible (very helpful as they just punch then)
- Then saving the three gondians at the stairs (they'll normally just misty step away)
- At this point only the Steel Watch remains
- If any gondians are within the blast radius I just throw the biggest healing potion at them to tank the blast (you can also push or throw them away)
Haste spell massively helps (available via various bows), as do Haste potions. Drink the potion only after the control devices are active.But difficult, no question.
