Can’t add mods during a playthrough?

It seems I’m unable to add mods during existing play through because it might cause a glitch and the game advises I remove the newly added mod AND that I cannot update mods that exist either without the same problem

Blame the in game mm, mod-support engine that prevents you from doing as you wish.

It also says not found for the modded items that were put in the game too. The name disappears…?

You absolutely can, it's just not recommended by default because there's no telling what could go wrong.

Adding mods in the middle of a save of ANY game has ALWAYS been fraught with danger. You MIGHT be able to add cosmetic mods and low-impact stuff like that, but don't count on that, either. If a mod is causing problems with a saved game, you can either remove the mod or start over. 'Twas ever thus.

Can you explain why the name of an item says not found when I add modded items to the game ?

I have not had any problems with adding or updating mods

There is a warning that says "These mods were not there the previous time you loaded this save" if i add or update, But i ignore that and have not had any problems
