cant sell wares?

I went to a trader to get supplies and decided to sell my wares cause I collected alot of valuable gems, rings etc I figured I can buy then sell to get my gold back. I had alot of gems but the button "sell wares" cant be selected, it's faded.

What gives?

If I'm understanding you correctly...you can sell anything you like by dragging items directly across to the merchant. The "sell wares" function refers to items you've specifically marked as "wares" -- think of that as marking an item as "I plan to sell this next chance I get", to save time later.

You need to identify them as wares. Or just sell them directly.

Wares is just a way to tag items as you pick them up identifying them as vendor trash.

I find gems and rings and I select "add to wares" sooooooooo what gives?

If you have a bunch of ♥♥♥♥ you wanna sell all in a block together, ctrl+left click the first item of the block, and shift+left click the last item in the block, it will highlight everything, and then you can right click to mark them as wares.

then where did they go? I dont see them in my inventory. I had em sent to my wares but I dont see any gems or rings

If you marked them as wares, and you have them in your inventory, the button should be active.

Did you send them to camp?

no. I just click "add to wares" and they disappear and I figured they'd be available if im talking to a trader. I did some trading, bought a new set of armor etc and thought I could sell all the gems I found, I had plenty. But the button that says "sell wares" is faded. I checked camp multiple times and they're not there.

Which is why im here in the first place. The option isnt available. the button for wares is faded and I cant click on it

no. I just click "add to wares" and they disappear

They are not supposed to disappear.

Wares go in your inventory like anything else, except they have a little white icon over them that indicates they are tagged as wares. If your wares are really just disappearing, that's a problem.

If they are in your inventory and you select "add to wares", they are supposed to just get the little icon. Not disappear.

Really? When I pick up items I just do add to wares. I dont see them in my inventory. I guess ill look again at my inventory and camp chests.

Really? When I pick up items I just do add to wares. I dont see them in my inventory. I guess ill look again at my inventory and camp chests.

If you pick up items as wares, they should go to your inventory just like if you pick them up normally, but they should be tagged with a little "wares" icon in the inventory page.

If they are already in your inventory, you have a similar choice which is "mark as wares".

They will "disappear" if you don't have bartering mode enabled. They don't really disappear; you automatically trade it for gold.

I thought about it and my guess is I sold them already to the people at the inn before meeting the red horned woman (I still cant remember her name lol. Starts with a K. Karlach? I dont know)

Problem is I dont remember if I did or not.
