I guess the shattered flail counts then if that's what he meant
To be more specific, it is not even a flail, it is just called a flail. It is a club since classes without martial weapon proficiency can use it.
Yep know exactly what you mean which would be cool. The shattered flail is suppose to be a bone handle with two chains or straps attached to what looks to be skulls but I don't know what happened between when the Flind has it and you get it but now its basically just the bone handle which sucks. I'd like to see flails and whips too.
Honestly I think the game needs more weapon variety in general so I'm hoping they'll add more options at some point. Hopefully multi-headed flails will be a part of that.
That's not based on any evidence in BG3 by the way lol I just know it's a common thing in fantasy games and in DnD in general, so I wouldn't be surprised if there's one or two like that in the game by release.
