Now if I am playing with others Tact finally becomes challenging because obvious reasons I only control 1 or 2 chars. Most people don't read the descriptions of everything and really figure out how to min max a whole party of classes beyond some fairly easy obvious stuff
Like it is a miracle to get the fighter to use a weapon coating or remember he has 3 weapon abilities he can use on short rest.
When I am on my own though honor mode is about right.
As for the bugs, most major games, such as Skyrim, Fallout, or GTA all have bugs. Many games now days are expected to be very complex in size and depth, which makes it impossible to squash all bugs even with dedicated testing - especially for a game with 17,000 variations of endings... The bugs will never be fully ironed out.
Also Fallout Skyrim.. bad examples Bethesda expects the community to patch their game xD
Thus is the consequence of unlucky circumstances or mods in a single save game. You don't have to accept it though, as it's always a good practice to backup your games ESPECIALLY if they are rogue-like/permadeath.
Honor mode can really shine when you work around it's inherent flaw, which isn't at all to say that makes the bugs ok, but that you can serve yourself by making things easier for yourself. Simply find your Larian Studios folder in your local Appdata, and copy the honor mode savegame into a new backup folder. You can do this even when the lost run screen shows up, because nothing with the actual save changes until the game is saved manually, a long rest, or by closing the run, so even when you accidentally ♥♥♥♥ your run with a surprise round you can cheat and recover your gameplay.
Its not a bad game, And its comparable with dragon age 1, And dragon age 1 is on of my favorites, Like stars the old republic 1/2, BALDURS GATES is a good game just Honor mode is less fun if you still play the game for the experience of the story
When playing with others though it's like this, Paladin oh wait I didn't know that comment would cause me to break my oath gotta reload. You save so much time though just accepting the outcomes as they happen an working with the results from there.
OP said it doesn't feel good to get screwed over in honor mode and have your time wasted by gamebreaking bugs.
It was a reasonable complaint about technical issues and the fact that it is taking so long to address, there was no feedback about the difficulty.
patch 7 is coming soon which gives more enemies legendary actions too!
Afaik you can force exit the game without losing the save. Save exit and come back more often, then, when problems like this arise, you lose part of your progress, but not everything.
No one will moderate how you do this, you’re your own judge.
The the only reason why I am play honor mode for the legendary mobs.
You're pretty much forced to rely on gimmicks like explosive barrels and min/max munchkin builds.
I prefer Custom Mode, where I can make the AI/tactics as hard as possible, without the stat bloat that just makes it feel unfair.
Currently everyone before baldurs gate is attacking me, Dunno what triggered it, Thats why I posted.
