Also, if saving Mayrina is something you're under leveled for, you'd probably have a bad time in the areas after that warning anyway, as they're tougher than the area she's in. If you're underleveled for that there's probably plenty of stuff to go back and find anyway.
crossing that threshold resolves the conflict between the goblin camp and the grove so if you wish to pick a side, you must do so before travelling further. it may also impact some other parts like the underdark but im not sure to what extent.
It is not a point of no return "yet" but i would strongly suggest clearing all the map marker before proceeding.
So as long you dont start the endgame of Act2, you can go back.
Edit: I am reading that both Halsin and Minthara will refuse to go back to act1. But you can stop their qq. Cast silence on them before moving, stops dialogue from triggering.
Ah that is what i remembered. No reason to go back than. My usual playtrough is to go to the monasty, than clear the underdark and depending if it is a good or evil playthrough choose the route into act 2. That way i don't miss out on quest areas.
Imho, I like the route that meets you up with the absolutists even if i play good. Because you get an easy way to go through the darkness once you slay the summoned drider, and can go grab the moonrise towers waypoint. And go examine moonrise towers, and buy sell stuff. And 'leaving' by freeing the prisoners in the cellars. Joining on the boat, gets you a free trip back to the inn even if you havent seen it before.
Depending on class, you get extra attack and fireball at 5/6. Which is a major powerup.
This is incorrect. I have gone to moonrise at level 4 just to do some shoping. The only thing that gets affected is the grove quests. You can backtrack to the underdark or the cresche all the way until the last part of the trials of Shar.
Unfortunately you cannot bring Minthara to act 1. She is level 6 when you meet her at moonrise. Perhaps this is the reason but you can still recruit her but a cut scene will trigger anytime you try to return to act 1 and Minty will tell you she will stay behind and plot the next move vs Kethric
She'll dispear from camp but will re-appear once you return to act2
MARCH ON TO ACT 2, OP!
