Karlach 4th wall
I just read an article saying it's impossible to get or doesn't happen but I experienced it on one of my first playthroughs and thought it broke the immersion. Is it really suppose to be supper rare? Has anyone else seen it yet aswell?

It might have been available during EA, but not now.

Since nobody's ever posted a legit way to get it, it's really unlikely that one exists.

What is this fourth-wall thing people keep droning on about? I haven't even seen anyone actually explain it, just claim that it's there.

It's Karlach busting through the fourth wall like she's the Kool-Aid man. (Not my description, but I thought it was cool.)

Interesting, but nothing I've ever seen, despite always having Karlach with me in the majority of my playthroughs.

Its script literally flags it as impossible to trigger, so I can assure you, you have never triggered the cutscene. It's not rare; it's impossible without modifying scripts.

Karlach breaks the fourth wall a bit in a different cutscene that is actually possible to trigger. You're likely confusing the more famous, impossible one with that one.

It's not super rare now. It's been removed outright in one of the post launch patches.

that's whats strange is that I have and what I find even more baffeling are all the articles and people saying "no you didnt" or "it cant happen not possible" what would a good explanation be on why I was able to see it?

There is dude on youtube that made a bounty of 500$ for way to trigger it, i was so surprised when i heard about it being impossible, because i got it before i dropped the game, later i saw video, now i am confused if i saw it in my playthrough at all.

He gave me code for dialogue, and i found the reasone why people yelling its impossible, the dev comment on the side of the dialogue states that its impossible... but there a lot of worthless dev comments all over that section of the code, and based on flags it doesnt have anything special.

Sadly it also doesnt really mean that this is right place to search for triggers, because looks like dialogue code rarelly checks flags that regard triggers of dialogue. Its mostly about additional options. From what i got from that part of the code, its totally random event. Probably just has a low chance of triggering. For example, simular stuff has Soul Coin dialogue, it can trigger right after 1 long rest... or not trigger in 3(i were reloading after 3 long rests) . Many dialogue events have some random in it, so its most likely just a really low chance of triggering.

BTW if you dont think its a good proof against it being impossible, show me how tf you spawn NPC in coordinates for dialogue like, i dont know, astarion bite? I dont remember exactly which one has comments about spawning, but like... seriusly, no one uses console for usuall stuff.

I have taken a BIIIG pause in my attempts of triggering it, because i had a duel in quake, and well, i have only few days now. And i dont like bg3. Its quite a mess of a code, with bad optimisation of space and memory usage.

oh dont think about it, they say it about any dialogue where Karlach says Game, or play or any term like this. Just dudes that dont even want to check facts and repeat after others.

Just returned to my attemts at triggering it, and.. well i have a clue. Perhaps all who got that cutscene triggered actually encountered a bug. The thing is. I talked to Karlach about her rage after beating Paladins of Tyr. The thing is, dialogue vanishes after rage ends, and then you get an option in common dialogue with Karlach.

When i triggered it, i remember: I talked about rage, then i talked with her commonly, and then it happen. Problem is, right now i realise that .. i am not suppose to talk about her rage twice in a row... It was strange first time around, but now when i replay this part over and over it make more sense. Perhaps simular stuff happened to other dudes when they were getting it. From what i gathered, people were getting it on place of special talks, camp, some stuff in later acts, and yata yata. Game switched my spells to default ones at some points, it may be that dialogue just switched because triggers didnt work properly. Damn it took a long time to get it.

Btw i got a lot of, like 12 long rest and 0 soul coin dialogue... ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥...
