One just has to wonder? In a world where healing potions and priests with healing magic can cure diseases, wounds, etc etc why would any character need glasses? I mean really. Doesn't work for me at all. That said: "Glasses would be EPIC"! IMHO it'd look kind'a silly don't ya think?
I wear glasses myself and have since I was 13 years old (now 72) Have to. Can't wear contacts and IMO glasses don't look damned amazing (in the military we referred to glasses as male "birth control" devices. I'll leave it up to your imagination why we called 'em that
But you are correct. Each to his own and as far as the mod goes - well - I'll never be acquiring one of those.
Nearsightedness is typically caused by your eyeball growing too large. If it were an injury, wound, or disease, it'd make sense that healing would help, but if your eyes are just growing too large, I highly doubt magic would help much.
You'd have a better chance of asking modders on NexusMod itself to port their mods to Mod.Io rather than asking on Steam... where most of them are not since Steam doesn't have mod support for this game.
There are actually a few NPCs in BG3 wearing some form of eyewear - the githyanki with the Zaith'isk for one, and the gith guarding the egg. The Forgotten Realms wiki also lists "The various monocles, spectacles, goggles and other eyewear, both mundane and magical, which could be found throughout Faerûn."
I did lol, but patch 7 fixed using external mods alongside the BG3 mod shop, so I am happy again. Would be nice if they had glasses mods for PS5 too but I'm happy enough on PC right now :-)
