Shar's invisible floors
are now impossible to beat. Can't jump, fly, teleport, misty step and the horrible camera angels make it impossible to walk across the platform. GG, game ends here I guess.

It helps to use the top-down view. But I hate that puzzle. Even though I know exactly how to do it, it's still fiddly.

If you are not considered worth by Shar, yeah.

Most people have no issues with the trial, though. It is just following the pattern and you still can use tricks.

Putting puzzles like that in a game with poor camera controls and pathing was a dumb thing to do to begin with.

Never understood how people are having problems with this trial.
Maybe try do adjust your display settings in regards to screen brightness, if only during this trial. Even if you're not using the top down view, the path should be clearly visible to healthy eyes. Isn't there also a brightness slider to get the perfect settings when first starting the game on PC?

Also while moving, don't cut corners. Small steps is the way and only do 90 degree character turns.

Pressing O on the keyboard to get a topdown view and checking the map on the floor near the entrance helps a lot, but it's still such a boring pain, there'll probably be a mod soon that allows us to cheese again and we can use that.

I just re did it in patch 7 with Shadowheart Misty step + potion of glorious vaulting and voilà no problem.

It is not visible, it literally goes totally invisible when you get near, you could see it it if you angled the camera or had specific graphics settings before patch but they fixed that too in yesterday's patch and you can't see it anymore.

I don't know, I did this trial two days ago I think and it works fine. My video settings are maxed out though. Maybe (edit: low) particle effect settings or something like that makes the path less visible. For myself, it's very visible - not too obvious of course, I have to look closely as well, but you know what I mean.

It's not supposed to be visible. You are supposed to just walk the pattern that you see in the map near the blood sacrifice altar.

It's not actually hard, just boring and fiddly and annoying.

little trick, you can drop items on the platform to make a semi visible path.
LadyMagic Sep 10, 2024 @ 1:36pm
Doesn't the path become visible if you don't have any light sources?

1 gold piece works just fine, 2 to make sure next click ends on platform

imo the ultimate troll move against Shar to use gold to "light" your way... ;)

Every single time i went through this puzzle (like 3 or 4 times by now) i was always so freaking dumb, and did it the "intended way". When i read that in the patchnotes that there was a way to cheese the puzzle by simply clicking on the last platform my jaw dropped.
