Multiplayer "Connection Failed."

Ive turned on network discovery, ive allowed Bg3.exe and Baldurs Gate 3 thru firewall. Still getting this randomly when trying to start save up with friend. Anyone have any tips?

a) Bypass the launcher

I recommend method C

and use direct connect using the ingame code to connect

b) if having trouble loading a specific savegame, attempt starting a new game together and once you are loaded into the game together load that specific savegame

It's not any specific saves. We loaded the game thru the files and tried direct connect. Still failed.

The next step would be clearing the profiles. But like with a), all party members need to do that

weve deleted all files and reinstalled already

Had the same problem last night with friends. Loading it without steam through Larian launcher worked last night, but not working tonight. Been a problem since patch 7 dropped it seems.

Also having the same issue and none of the quick fixes are working. I did ipconfig dnsflush and a winsock reset in CMD, but that only worked once.

My friend and I have been having the same issue since the patch and we finally got it working. We did the following:
1) Both uninstalled the game and removed the directories. (saved the saved games)
2) turned off cloud
3) both started new games and it worked fine.
4) quit game, turned on cloud and restarted our last save game and still works fine now.

I am thinking the uninstall and removing of the directories from both of us did the trick. Who knows.
