Minthara in good campaign in patch 7
I saw that she now has dialogue after you knock her out so the devs acknowledged the exploit (no idea if it even was one I'm a casual in bg3) the player's have been using to get her, so can she join you legitimately now? If so, what happens with Halsin?

it was no longer an exploit after patch 4 or 5, it was intentional, they just added more specific reactivity

It was never an exploit. Before the patch that made it possible, she simply died as far as the narrative was concerned, even if only knocked out. The devs explicitly added a way for people to make it happen because there was demand for it.

yes it was

people were doing polymorph shenanigans and carrying her into act2 and throwing her into the moonrise tower conversation to force trigger her dialogue without attacking the grove

patch 4 or 5 added the feature of being able to not kill her via knock out and trigger said dialogue as well, but she never really acknowledged that you knocked her out in the first place, until now

There was code for having Minthara available to join your party, because you could choose to side with her over the Grove.

People found an exploit that allowed them to access that code even while still siding with the Grove.

Larian decided to roll with it and legitimized the exploit, but they have only step-by-step been adapting it into the writing.

1) First they allowed you to knock her out instead of doing the "sheepthara" thing.

2) Then they fixed the issue with Minthara and Halsin sharing the same tent in camp (they gave it to Minthara).

3) Now apparently (I haven't tried it yet in Patch 7) added some acknowledgement of the knockout to Minthara's dialogue. (This is similar to how they added some acknowledgement of the "save Alfira from the Dark Urge" exploit in an earlier patch.)

The carrying her body to Act 2 at the Moonrise Tower may have been a exploit. But it was one that was not needed to get her as a companion. I did it before the last Patch by knocking her out and leaving her there at the Goblin camp.

Completed the Halsin quest and then she showed up at the Moonrise Tower in Act 2 and was imprisoned. I rescued her and she came to my camp.

That was changed on patch 5, a while ago.

before whatever patch that added said feature, which was either 4 or 5, 5 according to timbermaw, yes it was required to do that exploit get her as a companion when siding with the tieflings/grove

patch 5 was end of last november for reference

in the screenshot in the guide you can see them seemingly sharing a tent even. Steamy nights at camp.

you can even carry her after this to act1 again if you skipped to goblin camp to knock her out, just need to cast silence while in camp having her on your party and then tping into act1, meaning you have a lvl 6 character while your party is at 3 or 4.
sometimes requires workarounds but its doable
It's amazing how there's "demand" for Minthara content and yet all Larian did was legitimize a metagamey solution that has no in-game reasoning for a character to do (slaughtering everything in their path, and yet sparing her for some reason...).

She still remains extremely barebones compared to what she may have been like had they not listened to whiny "fans" wanting Halsin as a sex toy companion.

But hey, at least all the origins got new endings! Too bad they are barely played as according to their own statistics, and are in general a gimmick that lived for a game too many, with people practically begging that they be removed in favour of more development for custom characters.

For one, not every player is playing a char which kills everything in their path. You can spare her and see a progress of helping to reform her to some degree later in the game. And even open up a romance. It lacks the hot scene you get if you get her in Act 1, but a romance with her later in Act 3 is there if you want it.

She also adds some extra unique comments when you have her in your party. She will comment to the other origin companions about things. And they will respond to her.
