Dammon ruining Karlach's quest/romance
SPOILERS ALERT

I wanted to share here what I think is the most infuriating situation of Baldur's Gate 3, which is how easily Karlach's quest/romance can be broken in many different ways, some of them being completely unrelated to the players' explicit decisions.

I have completed the game several times now, and I cannot understand why the devs, after all this time, do not ensure that Dammon's random fate doesn't destroy our quest completion with Karlach. So far I am aware of the following:

- If you kill the strange ox in act 1, there is a bug that makes Dammon not spawn in Act 2 so you cannot continue Karlach's quest

- If you do not kill the strange ox in act 1, there is still a possible bug that makes the ox attack and kill Dammon as soon as you enter Last Light Inn, breaking the quest.

- If you decide to kill Kagha in the Grove where Kagha is, a fight starts outside as well, making it almost impossible to save Dammon as he is quite squishy and just dies in a fight in which you aren't even participating.

Don't get me wrong, I love that your actions have consequences in this game, and I love the way this is done in the game, even if the outcome is not what I had in mind, but I am fine accepting the weight of my decisions. The problem here is that Dammon may randomly end up dying without an active decision-making by the player, and this breakes Karlach's quest and romance, which is one of the most cherished characters in the game.

Even if you don't like Karlach, still getting her quest done means more xp, and these bugs and weird Dammon deaths prevent the player from getting xp, and we don't want that. I don't get why the devs have not fixed this somehow, specially taking into account the amount of YouTube videos that you can find showing different bugs related to this.

Do you guys also find this extremely annoying?

I hope you have a nice day and thank you for reading my ranting haha!
