Think that's more of a, you don't know what is worth spending gold on.
I just started the 8th playthrough and 4 hrs into it i've already spent 2000 gold.
Tho act 2 is the biggest gold hog, so many vendor items that are amazing.
Maybe the issue is you buying everything that you don't need?
Who actually uses gold? Not I, good sir.
There's some irony here.
It achieves exactly the same result and takes less time.
Not trying to be judgmental, but if you want to be able to just have any item you want from stores, that'll do it just as well as bag glitches did.
Is that not what they are trying to do?
