You mean as a companion when playing Durge? Nah. She dies. You can knock her out but then she won't join you. The act will be acknowledged in the epilogue though.

on earlier day u could get minthara for example threw a polymorph trick, so i thought maybe some clever guys would find something to get alfira as companion for the end, even if she wont get dialoge but just for complete team it would be nice.

Alfira is not a companion and never was a companion, not in this patch or before.

She will be in act 3 if she survives.
Idea for a mod:
Alfira survives the DURGE incident but loses her voice as a result, now she can be a permanent companion and it makes sense that she doesn't have any dialogue about the rest of the story going on :D

Trying to glitch your way into both recruiting and then not killing Alfira sounds like a great way to completely break Durge's personal quest.

Alfira can survive durge if you apply a specific trick (as in: knock her out before long resting, so that another bard will take her place)

Believe it or not there actually is a trick to get to keep Alfira as a party member. It's super duper complex, I saw a video on YouTube the other day of a guy doing it, it involves a number of difficult and counter-intuitive things, if you do them all she'll end up staying on your team for the rest of the game. It's kind've like how they turned Minthara into a sheep and threw her repeatedly, crazy stuff you'd never ever think of, only honestly this one was even more complicated than that. Look on YouTube, I'm sure you'll find it sooner or later, if you *really really* want Alfira in your party bad enough there is a way to do it, but be prepared to really really work for it :) .

It was clearly the intention of the story that Alfira either 1) dies if you don;t save the tieflings, 2) survives if you do save the tieflings, or 3) dies as a sacrificial victim to the Dark Urge.

Because they felt it so important to the Dark Urge storyline to have him/her kill an innocent bard, they wrote in a backup just in case something had made Alfira unavailable. I highly doubt they had intended this as a way to "save Alfira", but once it was discovered, people used it.

For that matter, it's pretty clear they never intended for Minthara to be able to survive if you kill the goblins, but people discovered ways around that.

The devs eventually legitimized the whole "recruit Minthara" thing, but it seems like they were not interested in doing the same for Alfira.

The devs already explained that she is not a companion.

It is even in the patch notes
