The BG3 elves are more attractive than the art you posted.
at one point there was a gender penalty of -1 str to all races for being a female. Gygax took it out later after rethinking the topic. I am not sure very many DM enforced the rule anyway. From memory, my group gave a +1 to character's choice stat (not str) to make it fair, which made female non-warriors much more popular. At that point in the game I am not sure drow were a thing, but likely the penalty would have been reversed for that race and a couple others as well.
