Act 1 is by far the best Act

Since I’ve played through the game about six times now it’s been made very clear that Act 1 is just leaps and bounds above the other acts. Especially Act 2. Not sure what they were thinking here, maybe they were tired after putting three years and their best effort into Act 1.
Act 2 the map is tiny in comparison. And there’s hardly any quests available outside of moonrise and the gauntlet. The masons secret selunite quest sucks.
Act 3 feels too condensed and the city itself feels small and compact. The streets are too narrow and the buildings too close to each other. And again there’s not much to do there besides what equates to four boss fights and a couple mini boss fights. By the time you get to the end battle you just want the game to be over. Then there’s the epilogue reunion party they slapped on at the last minute. That really feels like it was slapped on at the last moment to appease some fans.
I really hope that with Larians next games they put equal effort into their entire game and not just the first Act. It’s a strange thing to do. I’m left wondering if it’s due to poor planning or done intentionally to get good reviews from casuals and media.

I liked 3 almost as much as 1.

2 is kinda meh by comparison but that doesn't make it bad, just doesn't shine as well as the other two acts. Feels a bit lacking.

Act 1 got the most polish cuz it was in EA. Act 2 has a really cool theme, and I love the map. Act 3 for me was the weakest. It has most of the games coolest moments, but the reactivity is really poor. You do cool stuff and a lot of it has no impact on how the NPCs treat you or how other quests play out. You dont really feel the consequences of your choices and decisions, like you do in act 1. It feels like a collection of slapped together cool moments as opposed to a cohesive whole.

Idk different strokes, but for me Act 2 had the best atmosphere and final boss. It just feels so cool to be there and explore the place.

Larian recently admitted that act 3 had about 50% of its content cut.

I think this happened due to covid but they wont admit this

By saying Act 3 has been stripped of content for various reasons, literally means they've "admitted" it, lol.

Then again, every game has cut content. I still don't get why people are having such a hard-on for such things when it's a common practice for the past couple of decades.

Thousands of people have come out and said that act 3 doesnt feel right. It has a very linear story and is just full of go to X and do Y crappy quests.

I enjoyed all the acts. All were fun in their own way.
