So I guess we're never getting Alfira as a party member

We remember clearly stating in Community Update #28 that if you are playing as the Dark Urge, a certain bard would now be able to join the party as a controllable character at camp if there’s an empty slot, TEMPORARILY.

It would seem some of you didn’t pick up what we were putting down.

There are no new companions. There is only death.

Seems pretty finite to me :sadface:

Because they'd have to change a ♥♥♥♥ ton of the game to do that. Not worth the effort for a lame companion.

she's not lame from what I've read adding her as a party member is one of the most requested addons to the game.

Secondly all they would have to do is put her in the party in the same section where she shows up in the dark urge arc, give her a story arc, and romance options with the PC. She's not integral to the story so they wouldn't have to rewrite anything just remove any interactions she shows up in..

But has lost her voice from fear of the DURGE!

Now you don't need to add a bunch of new writing for her or hire her VA (though hiring her VA would obviously be much cooler if somehow possible lol).

For one, if you're suggesting someone copy Alfira's voice actor's voice with AI, without their permission, that is both immoral and illegal. You could, of course, use a properly licensed voice, but that wouldn't really solve the problem of having Alfira's voice.

Secondly, what is this free text-to-voice AI program you speak of? ElevenLabs and such can get pretty expensive with large amounts of text, so I'd love to hear about this completely free alternative you speak of.
