Report a translation problem
Mods are installed not via Steam Workshop for Baldur's Gate 3. If you have forgotten, then make a full cleanup to be on the safe side before reinstalling the game.

i had this problem when i just did a fresh install of v4.1.1.5849914 which is the "patch 7" version of the game (so no mods). got the fix off reddit and figured i'd share it here being it worked for me.
no problem, if i wouldn't have stumbled across the fix on another site i would've never figured that out on my own. it's so weird how that would affect it. but anyway, figured i'd try to get the word out. so yeah, glad you got it working.
The solutions were given in the posts above. Even the post before yours underlines one of the solutions...
The issue in this thread has been resolved long time ago.
So I'm guessing in many of these cases, it might be running mods that aren't compatible with each other or overlap in ways. Hotbar Sort didn't account for the hotbar mod I had installed and therefore made the hotbar mod not work.
