Can't connect via online multiplayer

After this patch my friend and I aren't able to connect. I try to connect to her game and I just get an "error failed to connect"

We tried running just via the Lari Launcher and still it's a no-go. We both have the vanilla game with no mods enabled. Anyone else??

My friends and I are also experiencing this. Pretty sad Friday night plans are chalked it seems.

We were experiencing this yesterday too. Apparently, it's happening to like a LOT of people right now. I would say submit a bug report to Larian.

We thought it was a Steam issue because it was happening to like 3 other games too, except Phasmophobia LOL. But yeah it may just be an issue with the update.

My friend and I had some success on Steam after verifying integrity of games files. What we did:
Person A: Create Mulitplayer Lobby
Person B: does NOT have the game launched, only waiting at desktop. No BG3 anything running.
Person A: Invites Person B
Person B: Accept steam invite and let game load

I'm not sitting in the Lobby with him, and we are waiting on a third to see if we can start a game.
