Hey! Same boat here. One of the things we did was clear the game cache. It worked the last few days for me, however, it isn't anymore. It may be worth a shot on your end.

It's a pretty temporary fix, I had to redo it every time we've played since Tuesday.

Same issue happened to me. Invited my friend to multiplayer and they got "connection failed". He invited me to a multiplayer session and I also got "connection failed". This was after installing patch 7. We tried going back to previous saves and still had the problem.
