What's the correct pathing here? Every pattern I've tried is wrong, so I don't know what the solution is.

Did that a few times. I found it hilarious. Reminds me of some of the skits about "D&D Logic" where something shouldn't be possible but, with the right rolls and bonuses, it happens anyway.

You don’t need to find the last Justiciar to get the gem. But if you do want to find him in order to get Yurgir on your side then … its complicated. If you want spoilers use Bg3.wiki which will tell you practically anything. I overused it, but I did find the Justiciar without spoilers.
As a general rule several tactics help solve puzzles im BG3 without spoilers: read the books; go to places that at first seem inaccessible, using fly, feather fall, glorious vaulting and/or strength potions. you will be surprised where you can go. look around you and as far up and Down as you can. always use speak with animals.
I might just be dumb but I found new locations after more than 1000 hours of play.

They just could use the guide mentioned to keep things simple...

Regarding the justiciar it is quite obvious unless you ignore three things completely in the area.

It's so hard for me to pretend not to know exactly how to solve Yurgir's little problem, because I've done it so often and know the quickest way to do it.

The game *does* give you hints. But they can be hard to interpret if you don't already know the secret.

I came here from Google to figure out what to do as I struggled a lot with this just now. In case anyone else does the same: I used Potion of Glorious Vaulting, and hopped from platform to platform. No “dying” occurred, and I took my Tav through it while leaving others behind. (Note: I did not use turn mode for this) Hopefully, if others see this and need a different idea, it helps.

I've always just put enhance jump on my str character

I think the jump on the last part was possible back when the game initially launched commercially out of early access; but was later patched ( If i am thinking about the part i am remembering correctly) because i did the whole jump thing to get past it too back then.

The video is from patch 7, so works for me + you can read the comments on the video, Plenty that say it works for them
