Patch 7 - Weird dialogue with text input and checkbox

So I'm getting this weird empty dialogue box popping up. Happens when I start game, change display settings, pretty much any interaction with the UI.

I did remove the entirety of the Baldurs Gate 3 game folder and downloaded from scratch. Fairly sure it's not a modding issue, unless there's something even weirder going on that I don't know about.

Any ideas?

Nvm. I forgot about AppData. Cleaned it out entirely, and all is well now :-)

Had this problem with an outdated mod. Removed customizer and updated ImprovedUI mod. Works fine now.

I updated ImprovedUI but what customizer? Need to narrow that down a customizer for character creation?

There is a mod called Customizer. It is quite popular and it completely breaks the game on Patch 7.

Also be aware that Patch 7 Improved UI is not overwriting older Improved Ui. You not only have to "update" but also remove the old one.

Pain in the ass but to fix this I had to delete everything, not just a plain uninstall, the steam game folder, appdata, my mod list, everything.. issue resolved but having mainly re-add 100+ some mods is annoying some aren't working now anyway so the troubleshooting is even more annoying to top it off.

I've dealt with other moddable games and the only one that comes close to having to reinstall everything was STALKER but vanilla STALKER games are already a coded mess, I don't remember Bethesda games breaking mods heavily like this but there was other problems with Bethesda titles in general.

Yeah, seems this time least with my mods the main culprit was mod-fixer baked into some mods, which you no longer need mod fixer for patch 7.
