With all the mods in place the game starts without issue and runs just like the patch never happened.
I DO NOT use their mod manager at all and do not suggest using it unless you only use its mods through it. Otherwise remove all mods and files in the mod foloder and delete you profile folder to start over then use the latest BG3MM to add them back in. Or like me just manually edit your mod settings file and add them yourself.
they work fine
Delete the modsettings, and don't open the BG3MM, place mods directly into your mod folder as a pak files, open the game and enable them with new internal mod manager
Not actually,
Most mods will be fine,
The mods that tend to break are mods that make use of a script extender.
Script Extender would then have to be updated to the current version of the game and that would mostly fix those mods.
For the most part if you are careful about mod selection you could avoid having a version issue with the game. However well knowing myself how often I tended to download every mod when I got started in modding well its not hard to imagine most newbs would not even be aware of the issues.
omfg so much misinformation flying around here.
3rd party mods through nexus still work. You need to update BG3MM for starters, which had an update I believe yesterday.
THEN you need to use mods that are updated to work with patch 7--AS YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO DO WITH MODS. Some mods *have* to be updated. Some mods from patch 6 work just fine. Which ones do? Who tf knows, that's on you to experiment with and find out--or just don't mod the game. I spent 6 hours putting together my own personal mods that work with patch 7 just fine and I am running well over 50.
