Mismatched data? Try this.

Hello adventurer(s),
Yesterday I went quite crazy because I wasn't able to play the game due to a mismatched data + white screen if I tried to play the game anyway. It's not the fix of the year but maybe you'll able to play the game if you're getting the error.

I followed every instruction, downloaded again the game thrice, verified the game twice, I even changed the Hard Disk after deleting every single folder related to the game. Still getting the error...

Then, I realized that the MOD TOOL (downloaded as DLC) was installed. I uninstalled it and now the game works like a charm.

Heh, I've been trying to find the cause for that, and other posts here corroborate what you're saying. Annoying, sure, but it doesn't seem to affect the game - at least not for me...

Indeed, despite the warning everything was working fine for me, but decided to uninstall the Toolkit anyway, just in case. Besides I don't need it because I'm not currently creating mods.

I do same thing as I do with my responsibilites. Ignore it. So far game works fine

I think there are different reasons why people is getting the mismatched data error: for someone it's a too overwritten game between patches and mods, for someone else are just the mods, as example my bf got the game corrupted by the last patch, he re-installed the games and it went fine. :3 Others I think had issues with third party mod managers. At least Larian gave the chance to rollback to patch 6. :3

Works for me. I never used mods. Try to reinstalled the Toolkit and got mismatch data error, so I uninstalled it and is working now.

I wanted to try reinstalling it too but at this point I'll just avoid it and I'll contact Larian explaining it, hoping that the next patch will fix this issue! Thanks for the feedback.

Knowing it’s just the mod tool being pointed, i just ignored the mismach data thing and moved on.

Glad that it worked in that way, too. In my case, the game was broken and I wasn't able to go further the launcher without getting a softlock. Thanks for your feedback too, in that way I hope that who reads this post can find a solution according to their game issue(s)!
