if you have not patched, you can use the BG3 Mod manager to play the game without launching it through steam. (thus, dodging the patch)
i've also been told that you can start the game via its .exe file (same as you can with cyberpunk2077 to avoid the patching process)
this is why i always set my modded games to 'only update when i start the game' as soon as a new patch is even suggested lol
are you a Vortex user? i've seen some folks have the same sort of issues with cyberpunk after patches.
there, we have a couple of cleaner tools (Cyberclean..the CyberNuke option is best there) but i dont know if there is anything similar.
in which case, someone needs to make a .bat file (what cyberclean is) that you just drop into the folder, run and it removes all the modded files and any fragments left behind.
you could try removing the mods via vortex (if you *are* a vortex user) and then try turning vortex off?
im a manual/BG3 mod manager user myself, so im not sure how you deactivate vortex so it does not try to reinstall your mods after you remove them ect.
