Issue with Mod Toolkit - Microsoft.NET Framework error
When i try to open project settings i get an error from Microsoft.NET Framework. It says that "an item with the same key has already been added". Everything else works for me in the application, and i have not been able to find any solution for this. I have also never had this error before, and have already tried repairing, reenabling and reinstalling .NET. I wonder if anyone else have encountered this issue?

What OS are you running the game on? Windows 9? Mac? Linux? Maybe it has something to do with permissions in your system, like you need to run Toolkit as admin or disable some anti-virus programs.

I am fairly sure the NET framework error just pops because the toolkit uses it, not because NET is broken.

I'm running on Windows 11, and the only anti-virus software is the built-in windows defender or whatever it's called. And it doesnt seem this is a problem other people are having, so im gonna try to mess around some more with admin access or something yeah, ty for reply!

I am having the same issue, when I try to open the project settings. Did you guys manage to solve this?
Because of this bug, I've had to delete and reinstall the game, toolkit, and Steam three times, and I've even upgraded to Windows 11, but nothing has changed. I really hope someone can help me with this. Otherwise, I'll have to go back to downgrading Windows

OK so I did a few things, and it works now:

-I opened the Toolkit folder and right clicked on "Glasses.exe" > Properties and then clicked on the "run as Admin" box.
-I opened Vortex and deactivated all mods.

And now it works, don't know which one did the trick though :D

I had this error too but managed to fix it, none of the fixes on here worked for me, but when I went through the error log on the toolkit's startup, one of the lines said there was a mod using one UUID twice, It was a different project folder. So I went into the game's Data folder and removed any other project's I had from the Shared, Mods, and Projects folders. This fixed my issue, which was that I used the same UUID twice while troubleshooting a mod I was making.
I hope this can help someone else!

Anotther Solve for this is to go to AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3
and rename the mods folder or remove the mods inside
