Performance issues since Patch 7

Anyone else's game practically unplayable since the update? I get stuttering just moving around and like 10 fps in combat and lots of hanging/stuttering/crashing.

I'm on a 5950x and 4090, had 0 issues playing the game a couple days ago... I've changed no settings, have no mods, etc. Game runs horribly now.


UPDATE: A full reinstall seems to have fixed my issues. Not sure what happened. Just FYI for others.

I also get a weird empty box popping up whenever a prompt appears: https://imgur.com/a/IMfNc48 -- tried verifying game files, everything is verified...

as soon as i load my game it just crashes. every time. tried a few things online and nothing seemed to work

Try disabling mods. I was using the “Better UI” mod and having the same issue

run the game as admin

Are you running with an existing save game from before the patch. Have you tried starting a new game if not to check if there is a difference.

FPS difference IS apparent in running a new campaign vs an older save. My older save now runs like 20% worse than my newly made save for this patch.

I'm also having the same issue and I've tried making a new game, still having the issues.

i had the same problem
try disabling any dlss, restart, and re-enabling it. Also quit any recording software like nvidia instant replay
idk if it is of any use but it worked for me

I get the same weird thing, I also can't create a new game at all. I've uninstalled all my mods from the in-game mod manager and my bg3mm now won't load. I've completely re-downloaded the game, too. It's utterly unplayable and stuff is outright missing. I think the box is a broken 'are you sure you want to quit' prompt.
