Trap Disarm Kits not being used after Patch 7 (No Mods ever used)
So basically after updating to Patch 7 I'm having a strange issue where when I try to disarm a trap, during the dice roll screen it doesn't show the trap disarm kit item icon and it displays the quantity as x1 even though I have about 15. I can even drop all of the disarm kits and it will still allow me to disarm traps showing that same blank icon and x1 quantity.

I have never used mods at all, and I've tried all of the troubleshooting steps I can think of so far (deleting the Level cache, verifying integrity, deleting shader cache, deleting OS temp files, etc). Basically everything other than uninstalling and reinstalling the game, which I am doing right now, but since it's a large download I figured while I am waiting I'd ask if anyone else has encountered this bug and/or how prevalent it is, so I know if I should keep trying to fix it myself or just roll back to Patch 6 for the time being.

Reinstalling the game didn't solve the issue either, but going back to patch 6 sees the issue resolved. I'm not really sure what's up with Patch 7 for me but I'd love to hear from anyone else if disarming traps is working correctly for them. And once again I have never used mods whatsoever since I bought the game back in early access.

Yes, I noticed it too. Looks like some visual bug because you can still disarm stuff.

I have the same bug. I can disarm but can't use a kit to reroll the check. I have to use a inspiration instead of the disarm kit.

You aren't supposed to be able to reroll the disarm with a new kit. If you fail a disarm, the trap is supposed to be spung.

I submitted a bug report to Larian along with a screenshot, so hopefully it gets a hotfix soon.

You aren't supposed to be able to reroll the disarm with a new kit. If you fail a disarm, the trap is supposed to be spung.
Are you saying this because per tabletop rules how it should be or are you saying this because that's how the game used to handle it? Because I remember using up a trap disarm kit to reroll before the patch.

Interesting… They could have removed the Reroll option, but was it mentioned in the game updates? If not, it could be a bug. In ”real D&D you can not reroll with toolkits, They Only make the succes easier, so it could be improved change in the patch also.

This is how it worked before Patch 7.
Actual tabletop leaves a lot in the hands of the DM about how disarming traps work, it's a lot vaguer.

I think that is a memory issue.

You can (in this game anyway) reroll a lockpicking attempt as many times as you have lockpicks, but traps don't work that way in BG3. Never have.

Since early access you could reroll a failed disarm attempt as long as you had kits in your inventory.

Apparently there are some traps that can be rerolled, but most can't.

Yeah I tried that but in my case it seems like this must be some graphical bug, since disarming traps is still working and it's just missing the icon and only reporting the quantity as 1x

Same here.
I do use mods, so I temporary removed them and started a new game , but the issue is still there.
So I'm quite sure it is a bug. Not "terrible" but annoying.
Hope this will be fixed soon

Same issue. No mods. Attempts to disarm traps apparently doesn't allow the use trap kits.
