Game won't load at all since Patch

I deleted all my mods and now when the game tries to load, I get a popup that says "Failed to load the main menu from the current game mod. The main menu is that mod requires the level. Make sure to clear any local mods and try again."

Never had this pop up before and wondering if anyone knows what it means? Thanks!

I've been having the same problem, I have tried deleting and re downloading the game and that didn't work so I am kinda lost

same here, i tried everything on this list:
1. Removing all previous and current mods i had installed for bg3 completely from my pc
2. verifying all files through steam
3. verifying all games in my drive through steam
4. uninstalling and reinstalling the game MULTIPLE times
5. restarting my pc - MULTIPLE TIMES
6. praying to god my game gets fixed
7. contemplating giving up forever.

Apparently this is working for other people, however i cannot get it to work. I hope these steps work for you guys though.

For anyone still having this issue, go into Users > (Your User) > AppData > Local > Larian Studios > Baldur's Gate 3 > PlayerProfiles > Public and delete modsetting.lsx

This fixed the issue for me, and hopefully will do the same for you.

Gotta do a scrub not just reinstall. When you delete the game there are still AppData files left behind. My advice is back up your saves on steam or wherever then after you delete the game before you reinstall it go to you %AppData% folder and delete everything related to BG3 then reinstall a fresh one. It's the red button route I know but it's guaranteed to work
