Error Server shutting down

When starting a single player game I get (error server shutting down) I did a fresh install and there are no mod's

so basically a fresh install of the game and all the mods including mod manager worked for me... im unsure is that helpful but im sorry if you're still having issues

Had a similar issue, after i deleted the Larian and BG3 Script Extender from the APPDATA/LOCAL folder and all my mods it worked again

When this error happened to me, my game had a bunch of race mods, stuff from nexus, in game manager, everything. I cleared them out, did a fresh reinstall with far less mods, and it works fine but i don’t want it to happen again when i get to act 3.
