Add Alfira as a playable companion!

People have been asking for that for at least a year. Larian is done making changes to this game (they say), so it's not going to happen.

Apparently she can be added for Dark Urge characters as a playable companion in the new patch "temporarily", which I assume means until your first long rest.

Yeah, I bet that "Add Alfira to your party as a permanent companion" will be a pretty popular mod as soon as someone makes it. Of course it likely breaks her romance with Lakrissa and her quest/reward in Act 2, and she won't be voiced unless somebody goes to a lot of work or expense....

there are a *lot* of AI voice mods, so one for alfira doesnt seem far fetched

time and time again automation replaces our jobs. as long as the people replaced get fair compensation, reeducation and opportunities we can develop in safe ways. i would never wish someone losing their job to ai, but if we want things faster and cheaper, it's inevitable

I didn't mention anything about jobs. We are talking about mods in this post (that are free and done by fans for fans). You harassing me for that is unacceptable and I hope a mod sees.

All VA's aren't loosing their jobs, in the same way all office workers didn't loose their jobs roughly 10 years ago, in the same way all clothing manufacturing workers didn't loose their jobs roughly 6 years ago, in the same way ect ect ect.
Those actually talented/smart enough to leverage available technology are the ones out competing their lower tier colleagues, not the technology itself.
