data mismatch

since patch 7 i always get a data mismatch when launching bg3. i deleted (manually) all the files and reinstalled the game - did not go away.

Were you previously using mods from Nexus or another 3rd party source?

It happened to me as well, I'm verifying the game files rn, it's a common issue with large patches.

This is happening to me and I have no mods installed. I can 't seem to access the modding manager in any way. It's not even visible within my steam library.

I followed the link in the launcher and it pointed to me a file in the cache folder that lists all the files causing problems (There were a lot).

I deleted all these, verified files again then it reinstalled all the files i'd just deleted.

The error remains but now it only lists the following:

I've deleted these and done the verify dance twice now but no further progress.

If you go to Steam and search for "Baldur" does the toolkit show up?

Mine hadn't installed until I found it this way. I suspect the issue is somehow caused by the toolkit, Particularly as "Gustav Dev" thumbnail is the first thing that shows up.

Weird... those seem to be Mod Editor errors (as in, the mod creator tool). Your game isn't loading because of errors on the mod editor?

After installing the Toolkit I'm back to 126060 errors.

Something is janking up.

Its probably from a mod..not the game. Mods are not going to work. doens't matter if you have the toolkit. Older mods are still not going to work. Toolkit is just for making mods ...not making them work.

Mind you that to test this, I completely removed the Larian folder from AppData and placed it somewhere else temporarily.
