Awww :(
I've just started my second playthrough and I'm using mods this time around. I'm half way through Act 3 >.<
It heavily depends on the patch, and it's hard to say, since we don't have much in the way of patch notes for Patch 7 yet.
Yeah the script extender is required for the mods that I use. I'm using one that lets you get to level 20, one that adds more feats, and another that adds some loot.
The script extender is an integral thing for my current game to work :((
I've only had BG3 for a couple weeks, so I've not experienced an update for this game yet. I know I have a couple games that are generally okay with mods and updates, I wasn't sure if this was one of them :(
Scripting Changes using Osiris.
Baldur’s Gate 3 will also now officially support some scripted mods using Osiris, our in-house scripting language. This means mod authors will be able to reload their own scripts, handle build errors, and also carry out basic debugging.
This means we'll probably have to wait till moders rewrite mods from Norbyte's SE to Osiris
