Multiplayer Ending Disappointment
Anyone else disappointed with the state of end game cutscenes for multiplayer? I see threads about it from other players from a year ago and some of those claim it's a bug for only one character to get end game cutscenes in a multiplayer run but no definitive answers. I just finished my second full run, my first solo took over 200 hours and my second multiplayer lasted from January until tonight playing once a week, we finally beat it days before the update launches and I wanted to start a new run. My friend played Dark Urge and romanced Astarion and I played a Tav Githyanki and romanced Laezel. It took every ounce of excitement I had for our end game out of me when we beat the elder brain, and my friend's Dark urge had every cutscene, from talking to Orpheus to sending Laezel off with him (Without me) to going off with Astarion and having the end game party around him. My character not mentioned or seen once, left behind by Laezel, and then even when I spoke to her a the party as a hologram, all I got was a "I'm glad I saw you but I'm busy, have fun bye." dialogue. I was confused too considering my character is the host and player 1, and my friend's Dark Urge is Player 2 in a local coop. I've reloaded a few times now trying to beat it differently to try and prompt my character to be the primary consideration for the cutscenes. I thought maybe if I was controlling myself, if I reassigned everyone to my team, if I got the killing blow, if his Dark Urge was dead during the final blow, and every time it prioritizes his character in all cutscenes and skips mine completely. I'm at a loss, and feel like I've just spent another 200 hours trying to see an end game scenario that I'll only be able to experience in youtube clips. Any ideas on how it might be possible to make the cutscenes work with my character instead of his would be appreciated, but I'm assuming it's lost at this point.

Bro, I swear you are writing my current experience—even down to being a Githyanki Tav that is romancing either Lae'zel or Karlach (and I'm currently hosting our game). I enjoy playing with my friend, but it is definitely going to be something I'm not doing for multiplayer with my friends moving forward. Just going to say either nobody is Durge or I'm not playing the multiplayer if that's the case. It's to the point where it's getting outright obnoxious!

We're currently in the middle of Act 2, but good to know that I will potentially be getting cucked by playing a multiplayer playthrough with a friend as Durge.

I was playing with 3 friends and each of us had his own cutscene etc and a lot2talk in the camp... might be a problem with durge and origin characters.
If you play with friends just play your own characters. You will be fine.
Durge and Origin Characters are much better for solo experience in my opinion

Funny, Karlach as my Tavs first choice until I realized I didn't have any way to get approval from her when my friend was doing most conversations, so I shifted to Baezel since she was more interested and I got approval through our Githyanki Dialogue, and now shes my personal fave.

Yeah, personally, Dark Urge is my canon run, and my friend was only going to do 1 run so I encouraged DU for the full experience. It might have to do with him being DU though, because even as Host - if I let him die and dropped his body where we couldn't retrieve it, he still immediately resurrect at full health for the final cutscenes and I get ignored completely.

multiplayer in general has been poorly developed. i honestly dont even know why its a feature atp unless youre inviting friends. theres no chat in game, half the players that host are just afk and dont accept the inv. even if you happen to find a lobby and by some miracle manage to have a decent session with someone you cant even view their steam profile to get in touch n continue another time n like i said theres no chat so you whats the point in joining random lobbies LOL its not like you keep the save. when you decide to host if players join and leave their character is in your party forever, if you dismiss the character like you do a hireling new players that join are forced to use the characters you dismiss. even if no new players join youre forced to bring the other tavs along in quest events like before meeting the nightsong where it says "yOu NeEd To GaThEr yOuR pArTy." its all just a ♥♥♥♥ show really.

My cousin and I just experienced this glitch with the end cuteness on the game in multiplayer. After reloading a few times, We realized that whoever talked to the emperor and then Orpheus afterwards would get the full cutscene priority. (I was playing a Dark Urge and we wanted to trigger the Bhaal endings).
We got a romance scene each, but the final dialogue didn't include my friend during the toast at all

Probably the worst thing that could have happened which we saw throughout the entire run was a bug where all dialogue is replaced with only one option, 1. Continue

This only selects the topmost real dialogue, and it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ PAIN across the game since it happened at random. Of course I had it kick in as I'm speaking to the Emperor about what our plans are for the end of the game

Had to crash out and rejoin, so my friend got janked into the dialogue and apparently the scene was buggy but thankfully we got the desired choices
