Clean install for new patch or nah?
Hello everyone, as everyone here already know, the next BG3 patch will be released next week, i've already finished my campaign and i'm waiting for this next patch to start a new one, but my game has some mods installed, and usually new updates tend to break the mods until they are updated for the new patch. Would it be better to just remove the already installed mods and install them again when the mod authors updated them? Or would it be better to uninstall the game and perform a clean install?, these are the mods I installed on my already finished save:

Native Mod Loader
Baldur's Gate 3 Mod Fixer
Native Camera Tweaks
Norbyte's Baldur's Gate 3 Script Extender
WASD Character Movement
Achievement Enabler
Camp Event Notifications

Clean install. Give it some time and those mods will be in the Steam Mod page. They are making mods as we speak. 7/16/2024 they got some modders and gave them the new build to test it. So when they release the new patch, there will already be some mods available.

We're not getting steam workshop support, it's going through a different place. I forget which one off the top. Mod.io maybe?

But Nexus mods are always a thing too.

For future reference

it would suffice just to clean the cache folder and verify the game files, though

Stick to the game update routine and you will be fine.

I have never used Mods, but I do want extra party members. Can you start a Mod in the middle of a playthru? Or do you have to start over?
