However others may find it somewhat different - i.e. that gith and most (if not all) other races in the game are .. less than mediocre in appearance, to put it mildly.
What I would advocate instead is a variety - i.e. give the options so that whoever wants to be an alien can be an alien, whoever wants that juicy scar across their face can have it, whoever want to RP as having their limb lost in a battle can have it.
Unfortunately, character creation is very limited because of the way it provides customization - there are no sliders, no control over the body, everything is fully pre-combined and the meshes are static. Unless that's changed, there could be no good variety.
Haha. Every man knows how to assess the appearance of another man, it does not mean that he is attracted to him. To deny this is to live in the closet.
Mediocre compared to human being. Do you look the githyankis in the D&D´s books? It look much more like a monster or an alien.
Agree. I would also like a mod for gith´s NPCs.
My Gith Warlock with LZ's Half-Plate and the Demon Commander's Flaming Greatsword,

If you ignore those specific racial traits then they look like any other race, which is why they may appear too attractive to you.
They certainly don't look like they do in the MM.
I mean they all look eerly similar.
I think they should make them more distinguishable from each other, but also I think it's good enough as it is.

It does feel like once you slap armor on a character though that the armor determines their build. Some of the medium and heavy armors especially make characters look bigger - not just from the armor, but physique-wise.
The MM are conceptual art only. Not a definitive model on how all of them look.
Sure they are supposed to be a bit stringy, and emaciated, but their muscles are tight and strong, and in that, shows the obvious reason they have a +2 to Strength.
The Gith model is indeed unique in BG3, and it is very closely related to how the Gith are supposed to look conceptually, however, there is nothing in the MM that says they all have to be ugly and emaciated to the point of vulgarity. I'm very pleased with my Gith Warlock's look, and happy to see Larian didn't just hit all of their models with the ugly stick. Plus, if you ever romanced Minthara, you would know that even the Gith's boobs are completely different than the other races, which is a shame, really and needs to be addressed, as I have mentioned before in another thread.

I didn't want to make a new topic so found and resurrected this one. My point or inquiry is similar are Gith more attractive in BG3 than they have been in previous editions or iterations? If so has this changed your opinion of them at all? I myself find most of the gith women to be very attractive despite the obvious differences between them and humans, and remember Gith were originally humans before they were enslaved by the Ghaik for thousands of years.
