Possible story spoilers: Grym and arcane tower connection?
Just throwing this theory out there, but i see a connection between the arcane tower in the underdark and Grym.

The creator of the tower made that robot butler at the top of the tower and was struck by deep grief over the loss of their partner. So, I can see this being a reason for them to switch over to Shar to forget his grief and delve into his work and create Grym.

Is this connection feasible or am I missing a lore book somewhere?

There is a lore book that tells who made the guardian and how it got its name.

There is another lore book about the tower owner doing some research into the ruins which places the tower owner after the creation of the guardian.

Ok, I thought it would have made an interesting connection but wasn't sure of the date between the events.

I'm pretty sure the Arcane Tower's occupant was female and the maker of Grym was male.

Grym's creator was a gnome wizard who lived thousands(?) of years ago and created the Grymforge.

Some time later, Ketheric and his Sharrans moved into the area and built a temple to Shar. The Harpers and Druids enlisted the help of Yurgir, and all teamed up to wipe out the Sharrans.

Presumably, the forge laid dormant until the Duergar made camp there as an Absolute outpost.

Lenore's Arcane tower is a whole nother thing. She is not thousands of years old, and it's implied she's still around, somewhere. If you read some lore notes around the tower and in Ramazith's tower later, it's implied that she got sucked into the Divinity Origin Sin universe.

Those are some sad notes left between Yrre and Lenore. Lenore was obviously suffering from depression. Yrre did come back for her, but she was gone.

Note that Blurg knows Lenore, so clearly this couldn't have happened all that long ago.

It's quite a depressive setup, that whole setup, not less sad is the Dog's grave close to the edge of the cliff by the underground lake. I always leave a lit candle there...

I leave the dog's favourite flower.
