Class Change Bug??

I'm trying to change my class with withers but every time I try, it goes to an empty landscape screen and my whole computer freezes completely. I downloaded a bunch of mods via the official mod manager so maybe that could be the reason but not sure how to fix it?
I also highly doubt my computer is the issue because it has pretty high specs (i9 processor, 64GB ram, NVIDIA graphics card) and has more than enough storage.

Mod usage comes with possible risks and issues. I don't use any and thus can not tell you how to fix it except to uninstall and reinstall the game. Start a new play run.

I have a similar bug but only in one playthrough. I have many mods and could not discover which mod caused it, but I use the same mods in other save-games without issue. In my bug Shadowheart will freeze the game on leveling up or respeccing. It causes the game to stutter very badly and then eventually crash. You might experiment to see if your problem is limited to a specific character.
I tried going back to earlier saves but could not find one where that did not happen, although she had leveled up through about LVL3 without a problem. I didn't try going back to lvl 1 since that wouldn't really save much time. I had to give up on that playthrough or will continue without SH.
