That's natural societal behavior to treat the dorks & losers in less favorable ways.
I'm guilty of doing the same except its towards "robotic" people, I just can't stand dealing with lesser-humans! (And by lesser I don't mean in the way people think, it's just they're missing all the 'fill in the blanks' of a human in my opinion.)
If Wyll was being like that then maybe you would've liked him,, since it's more accepted by the public then heroic dorks. While captain america & superman are known as bland & boring, I believe it's less negative for female versions.
This begs the question, if Wyll was marketed looking like wonder-woman that serves Manzora.. would things have been better? I suspect so, based on history of male gamers loving to rescue damsels from enslavement.
Wyll would be seen like princess peach or zelda, who have been forgiven for lack of agency. While mizora is similar to Bowser or Ganondorf that has control over our noble heroine.
Not just any fan, I'm his number one on this forum.
But it's just a cover for my secret obsession, since my friends & manly father must not know the truth. He expects his son to do salsa dancing,, football, boxing, & most importantly fix stuff which is why he's in the business of repairing cars. He almost disowned me when he saw me putting on makeup to hide my acne, during my emo phase.
The last thing he needs is to find out that he raised a son to love a questionably gay vampire,, instead of the typical hero to aspire too. I believe most traditional hispanic & asian families would understand, not to mention if they're religious.

*ehem*
A god queen thinks so, & you should all agree with her.
In bg3's early access, "The only black character in the game you can play as was once a thief. ▪ Is a contractual slave, ▪ and has problems with his father. ▪ In a vacuum these seem like 'yikes' scenarios." - TheLoadingCrew
Larian didn't want to offend certain groups of people, & needed to be in the right side of gaming history. I applaud their actions to give not only representation, but a more positive one too.
With that said if only they had foresight to see this issue, then lessen it by swapping Gale & Wyll's model before the public knew Bg3's existence. Now some might say Larian should've just left beta Wyll alone, (myself included.) Yet I empathize since this is clearly a company with good intentions & values.
So I can't hate them.. just disappointed with the last minute rewrites involving Wyll & Karlach. I was hopeful at the time, but now hoping 'dragon age veilguard' could fill the void that bg3 couldn't.
I absolutely loved Shadowheart, Laezel, & Astarion... while everyone else is either not my cup of tea (Gale,) or felt incomplete like the rest. When playing Dragon Age I never felt their main companions needed 'time in the oven,' except Vivienne (my divine) that should've been romanceable.
^ That's another black character who wasn't given more content, yet admittedly it's not a huge issue compared to others. (Bg3 just feels like it needed some extra development time, & luckily it still paid off regardless.)
If this was an Astarion topic, I'd like to think things would be different.
Anyway alot of these curious questions, I can't even answer them because I have no idea.
Wyll's maxed to the fullest with goofiness,, unlike Gale who I doubt could even perform the 'max goof' dance.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kw9Gzz2sfYY
Then follow your manly or female intuition, & start guessing like your life depended on it? I've left hints on a previous comment,, & for participating I'll give you the answers regardless. You'll be surprised what's actually true or false.
Killing someone just because they bore you lol. -- Well it's nice to meet another Tav that should be put in a mental asylum.
If only Larian added the D&D alignment system, just so they can somehow determine what most 'Tav's' are from their actions? Then they can prove my theory how majority of them are chaotic neutral.
BTW I wouldn't say Wyll's racist vs Half Orcs when most Half Orcs were evil in classic DnD and use to be best in the Assassin class... then DnD became care bear world. The Sword Coast was old school back then.
6.) Did he really say,, "I am the Blade that whets In the night?!"
7.) Is Wyll a boozehound horndog & womanizer?
8.) The Devil Lady was his ex-girlfriend, & someone might have hinted about it?
Replies:
6.) I think this was said in EA but not 100% sure.
7.) His character was more fitting to this type in EA. His dialogue and attitude changed at some point. (I played till EA patch 4 i think. Thereafter i just switched out, did not even know that they added Grimforge till it was too late to check it since the game came out:)
8.) In EA he was supposedly after some lady, whom you could imagine as per the context was a very dear female to her. Most assumed girlfriend. I cant recall the name but might have been Mizora.
He was basicly shouting at some hole in the floor(cell? i think) where somone was supposed to be present but was already taken away by the goblins.(i think goblins.)
I dont recall this scene being in the published version, but i had a few broken quests and events and even a character:) (and did not use a single mod:D)
12.) Not possible to figure out as the EA story ends before we get more involved with him.
we could only make guesses, but my guess was that he tried to resist Mizora on occasions. (Not sure if he succeeded until the part we see in the published version, if that was in EA, i completely missed it, even though i finished EA. For me Astarion was also completely different in EA and published version, because i broke Astarion's dialogues somehow. So he did not even try to bite my characterXD)
15.) No.
I miss the days when I could call them, "the green ape savages," "slime-skins" or "the broccoli heads."
Now a certain god queen will think I'm secretly racist towards her people, because she likely associate orcs with herself too?
Then can you or a God Queen educate me in the right word? I've been searching in the dictionary, & believe that 'disdain' is more appropriate? Yet maybe there's one that fits Wyll better..
Objection,, I thought people had to get to know Wyll by doing his quests? If not then you & others wouldn't have his sloppy seconds... (aka) Mizwhora.
So your words don't make sense to me, since Wyll has to be alive in order for her to rub it in his face.

Spoilers.
https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Wyll
Wyll ... He claims his right eye is made out of Bloodstone carved from the Galena Mountains, which functions as a sending stone, gifted by Mizora as a replacement after losing his eye fighting cultists, doubling as a method to keep track of him.
(footnote) Campsite, lines spoken by Wyll when he reveals the terms of his pact after saving Mizora.
"Mizora replaced it with a sending stone. She uses it to track my location and speak from a distance."
[snip]
Epilogue
If his contract was broken, he will also mention that he's working with a diabolist from Calimshan to use his sending stone eye to track Mizora, setting his sights on his former patron.
[snip][end]
Yeah, many of these questions I've no interest in answering. But this is at the wiki, which jibes with my memory of game dialogue.
Wyll's sending stone eye is used by Mizora to keep track of his location. But if he breaks his pact, he tells you in the Epilogue that he's found a diabolist who might be able to reverse its function so he can use it to track down her - and kill her.
Personally, I like the ending where he can become Grand Duke of the city, and most notably, his agenda for its future. I don't know if that is the best ending for him, or him remaining the Blade of Frontiers, OR becoming the Blade of Avernus, and giving up the life of a politician. But I certainly like his plans for rebuilding the city and its institutions.
That's all I'm interested in saying.
Ok. One more thing. I find it weird that Mizora sticks around after he breaks his pact AND you rescue his father. Deep down, of course, as she says, she wants he and you to win against the Absolute, Zariel has ultimately decided that's more important than squaring against him, or Karlach, so I guess she sticks around to watch it happen. (I also think this is the REAL reason she lets him keep his powers until the brain is vanquished.)
Funny thing, if she really wanted to kill Wyll's father in the Iron Throne, she could have tried harder. It's more a mischievous effort at making your mission harder than really getting revenge on Wyll.
There is a line of dialogue in the game where she promises to help you fight the Netherbrain in the final battle, even if you break Wyll's pact. However, if you break Wyll's pact, she won't in fact be part of "GYA". Fortunately, Legends of Faerun mod lets me force her to keep her word.
I don't know if there ever was a physical component to their relationship. The game art certainly shows her holding Wyll's shoulders in a very possessive way.
The Wiki for her says this.
"Wyll appears to be Mizora's favorite pet and she enjoys watching him deal with the trouble she creates. It seems her interest doesn't stem purely from their Fiend-Warlock relationship, but rather out of genuine interest in him as she often contextualizes the troubles she puts him through as helping him grow up and reach his full potential. Whatever her real aims are, at least she shows some respect for Wyll whenever he's forced to make some impossible choices, and she thinks highly of his skills as a monster hunter."
I got this sense from some of her dialogue also.
You made me want to ask a god queen if it's 'true or false' that the duke ending is the best? Personally I think its true, but only if Karlach didn't exist or is dead[bg3.wiki]
🙇🏻♂️ Please can you at least answer question 1,, 13,, & 15.
Mizora has a soft spot for Wyll,, & knew him since he was a teenager. (She most likely tried to groom and watch over him during his banishment.)
The combined evil personality of Wendy & Tinker Bell,, I've been saying this for years. And your quote from the wiki further proves my theory, since I mentioned Wyll's like a lost boy.
Being forced to grow up from his 'neverland' of heroism.
My other topic has already answered this question. -- Just scroll down at the end.

Did you watch how she contacted him during EA? It definitely wasn't following the rules of normal sending stones.
Here's the youtube video for anyone that still hasn't seen it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=NyDRL0XxXyE
I've read that most people, including a god queen just kept him around for Mizwhora.
The only black companion was portrayed as a slave, & former criminal abandoned by his father. So adding the traits of a boozehound horndog & womanizer only made Larian look worse.
Because they subconsciously created someone with the typical negative portrayals of a black male. 🤦🏾♂️ Larian realized this & tried to do better, yet it was last minute just like with Karlach.
They needed more time to develop Wyll into a high-quality 'boy savior', similar to Ekko from arcane. -- Instead we got a wasteland of a hero, that appears mostly barren for tourists to revisit. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sp4XP7YWm7o
Even Astarion's voice actor said that Wyll is the most bland, which he said in front of Theo Solomon too.
Here's the video < if anyone wants to watch it,, I thought it was funny seeing the 'shocked' reactions of Jennifer English & Devora Wilde.
This was actually false,, but he did say something similar. -- I just tweaked it a bit to mislead any Wyll fan out there.
Correct, and audio dialogue once expressed how Wyll was addicted to Mizora.
He called her his poison that he couldn't help but taste a lot, yet wanted to detoxify & sober up. (The way Wyll spoke about her, it sounded like a love-hate relationship.)
Mizora even got angry when a 'Tav' tries to romance him for some reason? Maybe it wasn't jealousy,, she just doesn't enjoy sharing Wyll's leash? Probably wants full control of his life, including anything sexual.
I think Wyll was unwilling to give absolute obedience,, where he genuinely accepts being her slave with no desire for freedom.
Could you explain why.. or I'll assume it's the reason Ekko's a true hero, while others aren't.
