Coerced effect doesn't end when Nere dies?

Wyll got coerced by Nere at the beginning of the fight. Now I've killed Nere, but Wyll is still hostile. I would have thought that would require concentration, but now all the hostiles are dead, and Wyll's still hostile.

I can't remember for certain but it probably requires a wis save (or int, idk) to snap out of it and/or lasts a few turns regardless.

How long have you been out of combat at that point?

That happened to me once. I had to non lethal and knock them out to get them out of it.

That has never happened to me. But then, I don't take Wyll with me. He stays in the camp once I get Withers so I can hire Hirelings. But I only hire one or two. The other companions, ether or Shadowheart, Karlach or La'zeal, have been my group when I killed Nere.

The spell Calm Emotions should take care of it.

According to the wiki, Nere's coercion spell is not "concentration", and it lasts for four turns.

So it should work to just let Wyll attack you for the remaining time. Or it should work to cast Calm Emotions.
