Karlach respec Crash (Modded)

So, I had this problem once before with my origin character, and it mysteriously vanished after a couple level ups, but now my game freezes on the transition to the level-up screen for respec when I try to change Karlach's class.

I can respec literally everyone else, just not her. I'm using the World Tree Barbarian mod from the in-game mod manager, and want to change off of it.

EDIT: Fixed it, disabled world tree barb.

Sounds like that mod has issues to me. I always respect her to warlock1 / barb1 / fighter+ and never had an issue. I never play as karlash so that may also be suspect along with the mod.

It's the mod. I have never had any issues changing her class. In the play run I am doing now, she is a paladin. Works fine.

Yeah, I disabled the mod as a gamble. Fully expected my save to be ruined, but I was able to load it and successfully respec.

In general, if you want to respec somebody out of a modded class or subclass (and you're planning to uninstall it because it's massively bugged or you just hate it), it's a good idea to respec them to somethiing vanilla, like fighter, just 1 level, save. Disable the mod. Then reload the save, and respec them to something else. Disabling a class mod while you still have chars using it USUALLY leads to crashes and problems.

Don't know the specifics for world tree barbarian, it's one of a bunch of 5E barbarian subclasses that don't really interest me. So never tried it.
