Since it is not possible, nothing to discuss really. I guess one can debate why you can't or should. But that is not going to change anything.
Haven't played with any mods yet, but it wouldn't be the same anways. Like I said in my text already, it's not just about those tiny interactions like kissing for example. Romance and especially love is a lot more than those bare physical activities which do in fact seem quite odd forced out of nowhere by a mod.
Still: Thanks for sharing this opportunitiy!
There's also a mod "Transform into companions and NPCs - Ring of Metamorph" where you can change companion appearances to other party members. Doesn't change voices, but you can swap appearances for romance scenes.
What is "Moonglasses" ?
Not making CHARNAME&Jaheira's romance canon is quite a weird choice as pretty much the whole game favors it from the start.
I didn't care much for her as I made a full Gith run.
Abdel Adrian is mentioned several times in BG3.
The whole Bhaal thingy is there just to link BG3 to other games, but it is badly implemented. But it's not like Larian is known for respecting lore, DoS games are quite inconsistent lore-wise compared to previous Divinity games. Not "lore-breaking" but still weird. Writing stories is hard and they still don't hire professional writers, hence those problems (that aren't Larian specific).
Overall, even if I preferred Jaheira, a Viconia romance canon would have fit the ambiance of BG3.
I never had a problem about her beeing optional to romance - i mean its optional, why would people even get mad about that.
The hacked, unauthorized, unlocked version of Larian's Toolkit. Once unlocked, it looks like it can edit things like quest scripting , dialogue, and romance flags.
I suspect with it in the future new romanceable chars could be created, or prebiously unromanceable characters could be made so.
The Bloodletter mod introduces a new companion, Veilyn, who they are planning to make romanceable, although that part is unfinished. They did it with that tool.
This will be slow going, of course. When you're using a tool in an unauthorized way, there's usually no guides for it. It's basically fumbling in the dark.
