Shadowheart Luminous Equipment Question
Not entirely on purpose, but I noticed I was attempting to stack radiant damage from Shadowheart. I have always liked the Spirit Guardians spell. It's usually my first spell go to, if not Guiding Bolt

So, right now, she is carrying:
The Blood of Lathander, (Light)
Luminous Armor: Causes radiant shock wave (inflict radiating orb when doing radiant damage.)
Luminous Gloves: Inflict radiating orb on target of radiating damage
Coruscation Ring: when the welder inflicts spell damage on an illuminated target Inflict radiating orb
Callous Glow ring: Inflict +2 damage to targets that are illuminated
Just added the Moonlight glaive: (6m light and +1-4 radiant damage)

I'm just not entirely sure that this is all stacking like one might hope... Anyone else exp-experiments with this?

Congratulations you have discovered the very popular lawn mower build. Enjoy it.

Radiant damage is the KING in act 2, and Shadowheart is the queen.

However ... in Act 3 there are a fair number of enemies with "radiant retort", meaning that if you inflict radiant damage on them, it comes back as damage to you too. This means you have to give up your radiant priestess build once you leave the shadows.

Which is rly strange considering Shadowheart really ought to beva Death domain Clerc, and after Act 2 (assuming you saved Nightsong and Shadowheart abandons Shar) she should be a Knowledge, Life or Twilight Clerc (Selune's Domains), or not a Clerc at all...

They removed a lot of the Radiant Retort in Act 3 a few Patches back. One of the major two fights with a lot of it was reduced down to only one enemy having it. The other in a particular steam house still has theirs.

Trickery Domain is well within Shar's sphere of influence just as much as Death Domain.
You know, I thought that about Shadowheart as well. It's weird to me that you can't change her deity from Shar. I think there should have been a moment when she had to select Selune, or someone else, and re-select spells and what not. Maybe the same time as the infamous hair change.

The main folks who will nail you with Radiant Retort are the Dark Justiciars in Shar's temple. It reflects double the radiant damage you do to them back on you. Nasty stuff.

A lot of the fiends and devils in HoH have a similar ability with a different name, for reflecting radiant damage, too.

There's a mod that negates both. I use it. I don't mind Larian applying various things to enemies to make them harder in the higher difficulties, I just object to this weird idea that using the thing they are most vulnerable to often kills the person using it.

Now on to ... Spoilers?

I think after (if she does) abandon Shar, it's a right RP moment to switch her domain to Light or Twilight. Her character sheet should also say her deity is Selune after she changes her hair to the same color as Isobel and other Selune clerics, but it still says "Shar". (I guess in theory just because she's changed her hair doesn't mean she's totally committed to going back to her parent's goddess.)

I believe Death Domain does fit a "I'm sticking with Shar and going Dark Justiciar or High Priestess of Shar" SH, which is why Larian is adding it in Patch 8.

I used to always respec SH into Light or Tempest domain early on irregardless because I just think Trickery is crap, but now with mods, I sometimes respec her into Forge, or Gust (homebrew).

She is claimed by Selune after she refuses to kill the Nightsong. It's alluded to. Aylin tells you, "Selune has as much claim over anything of Shar as much as she does." Then when Shadowheart couldn't figure out why she can still use her Divinity you do not have the heart to tell her where she is getting it from. Epilogue she works with the Selunites while she travels.
