What about Vampire Masquerade

Well now that you have the best game in the world with Dungeons and Dragon rules, why not make one in the world and rules of Vampire Masquerade?
I believe it would be incredible, you can make characters with unique classes and have to live according to the rules of the clan, or not since breaking the Mask would have great consequences, well I hope it's a good idea

Paradox/chinese room seems to have a grip on that license currently...And I'm not sure how well bloodlines 2 is doing currently...there was some drama around it iirc, but I didn't keep up with it.
You can still go back to bloodlines 1, though...still a great game, especially with the community patch.

I gave up on it - I supported the upcoming Vampires Masquerade game with a pre-order. But it has been so long since the promised release date - not worth it.

With their own IP and rules.

Thing is Vampire runs on very different rules than what Larian have done so far. Not saying they couldn't do it well mind you, just that it would be outside their wheelhouse.

Would love VtM as a CRPG not some FPS cr... And as Larian has proven they are able to put up interesting storylines a VtM game like BG3 would probably fit the unique atmosphere of the WoD

Shadowrun before V:tM, but that is a personal preference. V:tM could be well done, given enough freedom to develop the system into the Larian engine.

I'm not sure Larian would want to work with an external publisher again, though. If they can't get independence from Paradox bc of the license, I'd imagine Swen not being to thrilled about that.

Paradox said they don't want to be the publisher actually, I presume they would just get a cut or fee, kind of like Games Workshop and the Warhammer license I guess.

That would be legendary, CDPR would also do it justice as well. Alot depth in the different vampires which would be very appealing to explore in more detail. Shame they ever only made like one good game. Which went bankrupt during development.

Each of their games had or still has a pretty decent fanbase. Bloodlines first and foremost, followed by Arcanum, which some actually want a remaster/remake or a sequel of and, well, Temple of Elemental Evil. Never really heard good things about the that one, now that I'm thnking about it.

I mean a cut would be pretty normal....that's actually kinda surprising to hear from paradox for me....I've not the greatest opinion of them, due to their often DLC-hell games...^^
