About Death Cleric and new cantrips
The teaser says:

"As a cleric of death, you’ll find a few dark new tricks up your sleeves - from spells that specialise in necrotic damage to three new necromancy cantrips. This includes Toll The Dead, a cantrip that causes 1~8 damage when your cleric rings the bell of impending doom - a number that scales if your target has already been damaged. We’ve also added the homebrewed ability to explode nearby corpses, damaging enemies."

My question: does anyone has any information or rumor if the new cantrips are death cleric only? Cos if not, they're awesome for Light and Knowledge clerics. Potent Spellcasting will be able to pent up the frustration of never being useful before.

5e Death Cleric use Divine Strike (necrotic) at lvl 8, but i hope they change it for Potent Spellcasting or even better, add an option so clerics can chose between Divine Strike or Potent Spellcasting as their lvl 8 feat.

I can tell you you can get Toll the Dead through both 5E Spells (Nexus) and Mystra's Spells (mod.io). It's available for a lot of casters besides Death Domain clerics, also wizards and warlocks. Who also tend to do a bit of necromancy. Scales exactly like Larian would do it.

Mystra's has a corpse explosion spell, but it's no cantrip, it's a 5th level spell (Macabre Explosion). Valkrana's Spellbook has its own corpse explosion spell, called Corpse Grenade, but that's a 2nd level spell. You can use it to make corpses of dead enemies explode, OR your summoned undead explode, too. Destroying them but also their nearby enemies.

So far, nothing I've seen adds a corpse explosion cantrip or homebrew ability.

Why would we have information on how this works when it was just announced... today?

Cos some people have friends among devs, beta testers and people more engaged on the community that may have other sources for this announcement.

Thanks bro!

Potent Spellcasting will shine apparently!
BTW, I suspect the other two necromancy cantrips besides Toll the Dead will be Sapping Sting and Laroch's Minor Drain. They are already in Mystra's.

Which you would have heard about, before the announcement.

Dude, the question has even a proper answer already. With minutes of the Op.

If you have nothing useful to say or if you don't want to engage in this thead subject, there are tons of other posts for you to engage. Have a good day!
I have no connections to Larian. I can't even make mods as there is no Toolkit option for Mac users. What little I know about modding is because I love using them.

I only offered a theoretical answer based on my experience with mods and 5E. :steamhappy:

You gave me a solid based rumor, the previous use of these features in mods of the community.
