2. Manually delte the "mods" folder in there.
2b. You can also delete the whole Larian studios folder if you want (this also makes all the game settings revert to default as a new settings file is generated on next game launch), but be aware you going to lose your savegame if you don't have cloud saves enabled.
3. If you installed manually mods in the game root folder, you need to know that use uninstall from steam and reinstall will not get rid of those, as steam just remove vanilla game files and install back over modded files. The only way is to manually delete the whole game folder and reinstall it.
For whatever it's worth Larian is done with major patches so it SHOULD be safer to keep a modded save from now on without too much headache.
If you forgot how to remove mods, use this before reinstalling - always works to put the game into vanilla state
