Help! Stuck in Gale exploding cutscene loop!

So I decided it would be funny to make a party build around using Gale's dead body as a weapon. I ended up enjoying the run a lot more than I thought I would, and got through most of Act one by killing everyone with necrosis. The file was originally in honor mode, but I decided to keep going after I died because I figured cheesing the honor mode bosses would be really funny. I was pretty careful about reviving Gale every two days, but I lost track once and was like okay, that was funny, time to reload. I reload. It takes me back to the beginning of the cutscene. Apparently the game still autosaves after waking up in the morning, even if you wake up to IMMEDIATE DEATH. And because it started out in honor mode, I was locked in single save mode. Is there any way I can fix this? I really don't want to restart from the beginning of the game again.

TLDR; Gale blew up from being dead too long, and my single save game decided to autosave at the beginning of his explosion cutscene.

Sounds like you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥ unless there is a mod that straight up disables Gale being able to blow up.
