Jaheira absent in Wyrm's Crossing area

Basically, I can't find Jaheira anywhere in the Wyrm's Crossing area, including camp.

Only noticed it once I entered the lower city and triggered the Durge inspiration "Force Retirement" (End Jaheira's career permanently). I went back to a hard save just prior to entering the lower city, and tracked down a Harper meetup beneath Danthelon's Dancing Axe, getting ambushed by Dopplegangers, and progressing "The High Harper" quest. Next objective is to "Speak to Jaheira", but she's nowhere to be found, still not in camp, and no quest marker to indicate where she might be. She was definitely still alive when I left act 2, even had a nice chat with her before artefact stuff happened.

I've already put a lot of time into exploring and questing in the Wyrm's Crossing area, and my last hard save prior to entering act 3 is before the confronting Kethoric, which I had enough trouble dealing with the first time. I'm at a loss for what I might be able to do to continue Jaheira's quest without backtracking at least a couple dozen hours of game time.

Are you sure she's not in camp? When you are in the Rivington campsite, her camp location is kind of hidden away in a back area.

Did you miss her letter where she tells you she has business to do?

I've tried looking through the entire camp area, and have not been able to find her so far. Every spot I can seem to reach does not show any indication she is present. Have not been able to find information via searching online about where specifically she is supposed to be in camp.

If you already tried entering the city without having her quest fulfilled, you should get a letter in your inventory automatically. Like whenever somebody leaves your party you get their backpack.

Haven't checked after entering the city, but there has been no letter to explain her absence in Wyrm's Crossing, which is where I'm trying to find her.

EDIT; after entering the lower city, I see her equipment, goodbye letter included, has been transferred to my avatar's inventory.
